Fun kids art websites

Share

Hi,
Following on from Stacy's post, I'd like to share some websites for kids with you.
My DD is 4 1/2 and her answers to 'what do you want to be when you grow up?', changes from week to week but includes mine and DH's past and present occupations, which are polar opposites :-)

She does have a fair bit of artistic talent where drawing and 'doing craft', as she calls it, are concerned. She loves going on the internet and following some of the great websites out there for budding artists.

Her favourite is Uncle Fred Drawing, which gives her step by step guidance for drawing simple pictures. Another one we discovered tonight which looks pretty good and probably great for older kids is the Mark Kistler's School of Imagination (Click on Lessons in the top tab for some free sample lessons). We then hit the 'motherload', via Google and found The Art Zone at the National Art Gallery of Washington's kids website. It has lots of interactive flash based programmes and lots to have a play with, even for the adults.

I guess you know what we'll be doing tomorrow night afer school :-) Here is a page of DD playing on the Uncle Fred website, using Valarie's Girl Talk Kit and Teen Flair.

Have fun,
