The Heat is On...

Summer is in full swing here in the States. Our local temperatures have hit 108-110 within the past week; however, we have been blessed with a 'cool' spell recently...today it was only in the mid-90s! Not exactly cool, but better than last week.

I bought our first watermelon of the season last week...it was a cold, juicy treat when our air conditioner was broken. We've also spent a good deal of our outside time letting our daughter play in the sprinkler and in her wading pool. But honestly, most of our summer days are spent indoors...our summer activities involve the library and movie theatre more than the great outdoors.
