Guest CT Call

Valarie Ostrom is having a guest CT Call!!!
Here is the advert.

I can't wait to see who joins our fun team.

Get your applications in quick, you don't want to miss this one! You can find Valarie's designs at Scrapable, Pretty Scrappy and Digital Paper Hearts.

And here are some of my latest layouts.
Using Valarie's gorgeous All Dolled Up kit,

I played about with some of the blending modes in PS, to give you an example of how you can play about with them, to create fun layouts. This follows on from my blog post about blending layers in PS/E 2 weeks ago, which you can find HERE. I adjusted the levels and added a screen and a multiply layer, at varying opacity, above the original photo to achieve this blended effect.

Available at Scrapable, DPH and coming soon to Pretty Scrappy.

Using Valarie's NEW Gone Fishing kit.

This page won LOTD at Scrapable! Thank you ladies!

Good luck if you apply for the call,

Phew!!!

Well, are you exhausted from all of the iNSD activities yet? Chats, crops, challenges, sales, freebies...digi-dom has been filled with all sorts of activities for everyone this weekend. If you haven't had your fill of shopping and new kits, don't forget that Val has 2 super cute new kits available at BTST and DPH. One for dog lovers, and one for cat lovers...or if you're like me and have both dogs and cats running around your house, you can snag the Mega kit and get both for one low price.

And now, for those of you who are groaning at the thought of having to unzip and organize all of those zip files you downloaded this weekend, I have found a little something that will hopefully make life a little easier. Unzip Them All is a free shareware program that I've been using for at least a year. Basically, it will unzip any ZIP or RAR file in the folder that you select, and it will unzip them all at once at the touch of a button. I run the program on both my XP and Vista computers and have never had a problem with it.

And finally, don't forget that Val is having a CT call. It's a great way to work with some fun kits for free (and who doesn't love that)...plus I think we're a pretty friendly bunch of people as well!

Have a great week, and enjoy your iNSD goodies! Happy scrapping!

NSD Sale and CT Call!

CT call and chance to earn a freebie!

Hi peeps!

Those of us here in North America are stuck in the dead of winter, and alot of us have had a less-than-pleasant week! I know our family was stuck indoors for a few days due to the roads being solid sheets of ice...thankfully we had the supplies we needed, but when DH doesn't go to work, he doesn't get paid! We had some good family time, though, and we made it through without losing our electricity, so I can't really complain.

For those of you looking to break out of the winter blahs, or who just want a super fun kit to scrap with, check this out!

You can earn this kit for free by completing three challenges at Color Line Design. Be on the lookout for some pages with this awesomely funky kit!

Valarie's CT call is still open, so if you haven't gotten your apps in yet, there's still time!

Lastly, let me wish our fearless leader Valarie a belated birthday! Happy Birthday Valarie!

I also have a birthday coming up, and because birthdays are on my mind, let me share one last thing with you! Valarie has a cute series of mini kits called 'Simple Inspirations'. Her fourth set in the series is now available at BTST and CLD, and it's all about birthdays! I think it would make an adorable birthday card!

And here's a little something I did with the mini...

Stay safe and happy scrapping!
